Stefan Jänicke is Professor of Data Science at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense, Denmark. His research interests relate to information visualization and visual analytics with a focus on text-, time- and geo-visualization, and their application in research areas like (digital) humanities, linguistics, social sciences, biology, health and sports.Stefan Jänicke is Professor of Data Science at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense, Denmark. Helen C. Purchase is a Professor in the Department of Human-Centred Computing at Monash University. While her main interest is the evaluation of the visual presentation of graphs, she also takes part in several empirical research projects investigating a variety of different visual stimuli. She has published several papers in the area of computer science education and educational technology.Helen C.
