Andreas Kerren received the BS and MS degrees as well as his PhD degree from the Saarland University, Saarbrücken, Germany. He is currently a Full Professor in Computer Science at the School of Computer Science, Physics and Mathematics, Linnaeus University, Sweden, where he is heading the research group for Information and Software Visualization (ISOVIS). His main research interests include the areas of Information Visualization, Software Visualization, Visual Analytics, and Human-Computer Interaction. Brief Bio
Christophe Hurter is professor at the Interactive Data Visualization group (part of the DEVI team) of the French Civil Aviation University (ENAC) in Toulouse, France. He is also an associate researcher at the research center for the French Military Air Force Test Center (CReA).
His research cover information visualization (InfoVis) and human-computer interaction (HCI), especially the visualization of multivariate data in space and time. He also investigates the design of scalable visual interfaces and the development of pixel based rendering techniques.

Stefan Jänicke is an assistant professor at University of Southern Denmark, Odense, Denmark. He worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Image and Signal Processing Group at Leipzig University, Germany, where he lead a text visualization group focusing on applications in the digital humanities. In recent years, he has gained experience in developing information visualization and visual analytics techniques within a number of interdisciplinary projects. His PhD thesis investigates the utility of visualization techniques to support the comparative analysis of digital humanities data, and his current research rel ates to information visualization with a focus on text- and geovisualization. ... Romain Vuillemot is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Ecole Centrale de Lyon, Université de Lyon, France. His research interests include information visualization, visual analytics, and human-computer interactions, with a focus on advanced interaction techniques to include humans in the loop of complex predictive analytics processes. Vuillemot has a PhD in computer science from INSA de Lyon.

Jan-Henrik Haunert chairs the Geoinformation Group at the Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformation at the University of Bonn, Germany. He holds a diploma and doctoral degree from the University of Hannover, Germany, where in 2008 he defended his dissertation on map generalization by combinatorial optimization. Thereafter, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the algorithms group at the University of Würzburg, Germany. From 2013 to 2016 he was a professor for geoinformatics at the University of Osnabrück, Germany, before in 2016 he took up his professorship in Bonn. His research is dealing with the development of algorithms for the analysis and visualization of spatial information. Sandro Spina is a lecturer at the Department of Computer Science, University of Malta. He has completed his Ph.D. at the University of Warwick and his undergraduate studies at the University of Malta. His main research interest is computer graphics in particular high-fidelity rendering, scene acquisition and understanding. He is also interested in the development of serious games through collaborations with researchers from a variety of disciplines. He currently forms part of the Computer Graphics and Visualisation Group set up at the Faculty of ICT.
